Does anyone know the reg or milpers that applies to keeping your Date of Rank when switching from the National Guard to the Active Army. I came in last march and was told that my Date of Rank as an e-5 was the date of my contract. I accepted that until I ran into another NG soldier that kept the Date of Rank from the national guard to active duty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
