hey i'm 28 year old male trying to enlist in the army. i've already seen a recruiter and am currently talking to one. but my question is how come it is so hard trying to find a job right now? i went today to the office to find one and there wasn't any available.. is there a reason for that? i mean i'll take anything other than cooking.

What was your ASVAB score? Was it less than 50? The Army is in a position where they can be very selective on who they accept. Why is your Recruiter not communicating with you?

ya..the jobs right now are super hard to come by...i had a guy on the floor today with a 44 and only one job was their 42A (admin)..the reason their are no jobs is because the bad economy, we are no longer in iraq...so know people want to join..and the army is downsizing..the best think is to take the jobs availible...get the good money...free health care...free college...30 days paid vaction. and enjoy life..no mater what job is their...all jobs are the same..parts you hate..and parts you love...(no clue why my phone is adding all this periods.)..

My reccomendation is to ask your Recruiter what kind of options are available to you in the Army Reserve.
