HAHAHAHAHA!!!! HA! Did you seriously ask that question. My god.
1st off, your a US Soldier, you're going to see combat if your unit deploys.
2nd off, if your unit DOES deploy, consider yourself a grunt who does L&O procedures and patrols like you would on your base.
My word that's a great question. My unit's downrange now and they've been running missions like crazy..gooooood luck kid.
Oh and it also depends on where you go, since the country we're STILL in has died down in most parts, all it is now is training the IP's so they can do their jobs without us.

ok. you can take it easy, big guy, im 16 years old and ive never been in the army. i WANT to see combat, thats why i was asking the question. i was asking a goddam question because im inexperienced in these things, so u can stop being a prick
1st off no one really wants to see combat no matter what they say to your face.
2nd the Army really doesnt need more immature knuckleheads believe me we have enough.
A majority of us joined the Army because we love our country and our proud to serve. Believe me it is a privilege to serve in the Armed Forces and should be treated as such.

I understood what you meant, but you didn't give much explanation of what you asking. I think what he was saying was if he were a MP would it be one of the MOS that see more action and are deployed alot. He didn't give much of an explanation which then lead to MPSTOKES which is a female (not a male) sounding a lil sarcastic in her response. I understand she didn't have much to go by, but it was a lil much. He's 16 years old of course he needs maturity HE'S 16. Now let's back off a little and give him some information on the mos 31B. If you want to join the Army this is a good site to find some great info. You have some really good people on here with great information. Armyreenlistment can always point you in the right direction. Good Luck
So because he's 16 he gets to be coddled and doesn't have to take a little criticism? At 16 and looking at the Army talking about wanting to see combat, he is slightly less mature than he should be Ma'am. And with the way he spouted off he's not ready to ask questions, much less get answers.
You're answering him like a Mommy, he needs to be treated like a future soldier if he's serious, otherwise he needs to go home and grow up....

Are you wanting to go Reserve or Active when you can finally enlist? That will make a difference.
MP's are needed downrange so you will probably go at least once while you serve. My battalion is in a rotation right now, one unit goes, the rest stay back and go when that unit returns. EVERYONE'S going..
Good luck and I didn't mean to sound b*tchy. I need to change it so it says somewhere I'm a chick..

Instead of psychoanalyzing the young man, why don't you just answer his damn question?
There's a lot of people, in and out of the military, that state that they want to see combat. I wouldn't chalk that up to immaturity; I'd call it naivity. Mommyof3 wasn't coddling; she was being reasonable.
Bottom line- not everyone that visits this site has 5+ years in and has been a recruiter. So why don't you guys try to be more helpful? It's so effing easy...
