I was wondering if anyone could help me find out if there is a policy that states if you fail a PT test in the Reserves that you will not be paid for BTA's that you attend until you pass a PT test. I have never heard of this and have looked up alot of regulations but can not find anything. The reason I am asking is because my unit has a policy letter as of October 1 and I was wanting to know if they can do that.

I cannot state the specific regulations but there is one that states that you have to have satisfactory participation and it covers appearance and work performance. Whether participation is satisfactory or not is by the commander's determination not anyone in the NCO channel.

If people in the reserves didn't get paid when they failed a pt test, then there would be a ton more no shows than there already is, I work in the S-1 shop at my unit and I know for a fact no soldier has ever not been paid for failing a pt test.
