If you volunteer for AGR Recruiting and successfully complete your tour do you get preference for other AGR slots or are you an AGR Recruiter for good?

Hey Gameness2, I was an AGR recruiter for 10 years. Contrary to popular belief I had a great
time and it was a most rewarding.

To answer your question no, once you complete your AGR tour as a recruiter, you will be able to apply for any AGR slot that matches your qualifications.

During your time as an AGR Recruiter you will be interacting with the TPU,s in your area, these units have fulltime AGR, as well as GS slots, so about six months before your tour ends start talking to these units about slots that will be available around the time your tour is scheduled to end.

If you are not limited to a geographical area your changes of landing an AGR, or GS7 (starting around $38,000 a yr) slot is excellent.

Check out www.usajobs.gov and search "unit administrator".

Good Luck
