Hello everyone. I've been back from AIT for a few months now, and am thinking of applying to grad school. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for information on using the GI Bill and other resources available to soldiers in the Army Reserve. I haven't received a lot of information about it from my unit since we are currently in between UAs. Someone there told me that the best thing I could do would be to hook up with the VA advisor at the school I am applying to.

However, this is not possible. The school I am interested in is overseas in the UK. I'm looking at this particular program because it is the only graduate distance learning program offered in my field, and I need to continue working throughout school. I have heard that students in the past have been able to use their GI Bill-type benefits to attend it, so it must be on an approved list. I'm just wondering what the next step should be for me, and who I should be contacting to seek approval for my grad school plans?

Thank you in advance for any info!

Jennifer

You should have recieved your NOBE (Notice of basice eligibility). You take that to the school or send it in and they willl verify attendance to the VA. If you are haveing trouble with that get in touch with your career counselor and if he doesn't have the resources he will point you in the right direction.

Uhm, how do you expect to fulfill you requirements to the Army when you're going to school in the UK? Sorry if I misread this or misunderstood, but don't you think that'd be a little impossible?

If you read the entire post, seems she was referring to a "distance learning" institute.
