The plane that dropped the 1st Atomic Bomb in Japan would be the Enola Gay. Now I really couldn't tell you what other specific bombs was dropped for the first time there...other than the atomic bomb.

Only because you people are absolutely refusing to have any fun, I will propose an answer that will only make sence to those who have NCA Jumps. "Follow Me."
For those who are going to blast me on this answer, I know that I did not give all the rest of the commands leading to the jump, so my robot squad is not hooked up, but if they follow me on a left hand turn, then the MC1-1C paracutes don't have to deploy...besides that is what your reserve is for.
Sorry Roar... Rear-is called the first time the right foot hits the ground, March-is called the second time the right foot hits the ground. Then you take onemore step with the left foot and pivot. How many ranks fell off the cliff in that time? The correct answer was GAS during my board... and I smoked it (a long time ago, but I got it)

Here's a suggestion, read the thread before posting the same WRONG answer!
Rear March, Squad Halt, Fix Bayonets, and Right Flank March are all two part commands and therefore they are all incorrect.
The person asking the question was looking for GAS! If you have a different answer you would have gotten it wrong if they were the board member asking you. But, all is not lost... this is not the first time most of us have heard this question, so choose whatever answer you feel you can justify in a board and remember it, if your lucky someday in a board far far away an opportunity to argue your point may present itself.

The First A bomb dropped over Hiroshima by the Enola Gay was call "Fat Man" the second one dropped over Nagasaki by Boxcar was call "Little Boy".
I watch WAY too much History Channel.

Here's a question for ya, "what was the name of the plane that dropped the 1st bomb in Japan?"
Now this is a trick question! General Doolittle dropped the first bomb (250 pounder I think) on Tokyo in 1942. I can do some research and try to find out what his bomber was called.
Originally posted by SuperSoldier: This cliff thing is amazing..no matter how many times we tell you it's GAS, people still try and circumvent it...right flank march would require two steps...bye bye soldiers. If you yell GAS GAS GAS the reaction SHOULD be as follows: All soldiers stop everything that they are doing (including marching forward) and don their masks. It is the only MILITARY way of saving the lives of the soldiers. If insanity ensues, you didn't train your soldiers well enough to handle a chemicle attack and should be counseled for being a poor leader.
The correct answer isn't "Gas." Gas is not a command, it is an alarm (reference: 031-503-1019 React to Chemical or Biological Hazard). This is not just a poorly worded trick question, it is a foolish question. If you (not you personally SuperSoldier, but you being anyone who actually believes that "gas" is the correct answer) feel otherwise simply provide the reference wherein "Gas" is a command. I've seen this question for 20 years and never heard it on a board. I suppose I've successfully appeared before more than 20 boards, winning at all levels, including USAPAC NCOY and selection for induction as member of SAMC, and have never been asked this question. I've been a member of fewer boards, Soldier and NCO month/qtr, promotion, and SAMC and have never heard it asked on those either. As a member of the board I would have vehemently opposed anyone asking this question as it has no foundation. Also have been instructor/writer at the USACMLS and have not seen a reference where "gas" is a command. Been DS and never saw any such reference either.
I understand that this may be a question that one could argue would make the Soldier have to think, or possibly provide insight as to whether the Soldier understands two part commands, or even how the Soldier may react when asked a difficult (I say foolish) question... My problem with this question is the pretense that "gas" is a correct answer. I see no problem with asking a difficult question, but pretending that a wrong answer is correct without providing a qualified reference is unacceptable.
Originally posted by Doshaza: BTW, the diamond in the first sergeant's rank is a "pierced lozenge" not french.
The "diamond" is a lozenge. AR 670-1, para 28–7.a.(3)(d) states, First sergeant: three chevrons above three arcs, with a pierced lozenge between the chevrons and arcs...
French lozenge isn't necessarily the wrong answer, it's just not a full explanation. Lozenge, as used in this case originates from the (Old) French word lozenge meaning a heraldic four sided rhombus. So, "French lozenge" is not technically wrong, it's just not the complete answer.
The lozenge used to indicate first sergeant is a mark of distinction and was used in heraldry to indicate achievement.
