I am helping a guard buddy of mine with his promotion packet to E6, he has a bunch of correspondence courses...which isn't a problem, except that there are numerous ones he did online through Army e-learning that are 1, 2, 3 and 4 hour courses. Which brings me to my question; Are completed correspondence courses that are 4 hours or less worth any points?

Its 1 point per 5 hours. So the total hours would be added together to get the total points. Points aren't awarded for just individual courses. They are cummulative for total hours. Example. One course for 7 hours and one course for 8 hours would total 15 hours equalling 3 points.

"War is an act of force, and to the application of that force there is no limit. Each of the advisaries forces the hand of the other, and in a recipricol action results in which there can be no limit..." Carl von Clausewitz, on war, 1833

One more question...when I did my packet, years and years ago...I think that you either got credit for a badge OR the school. I.E. points for Airborne school or the parachutists badge? Is that correct or Do you get points for both the award and the military education?
