Hey, I am looking for "real world" input into EOD, Good, Bad, ugly etc. Please only reply with what you know, not what you think or heard, It would make my decision a whole lot easier. Thanks again!
Hard working, most always deployed. "Usually" deployed for 6 months, unless you are extended of course. Most always on call for IEDs and UXOs. Dangerous job, not an easy school to go through so make sure what you're doing.

I am thinking about going EOD also, so if there is anyone out there who is EOD and can tell us aa little about your daily life as EOD. Also I would like to know what the units are like and training.

The initial Phase 1 training consist of 3 months in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Phase 2 consist of a 9 month course at Eglin Air Force base. Remember the course is not a joke, 70% drop out rate. Job consist of IED recon, rendering safe and disposal. Also we do VIP escorts for government officials and dignitaries. any more questions, get with me.
