Option 3 and the BEAR Program use the same retention class seats. You'll get the earliest class date that you are eligible for and that is available. Your Career Counselor will show you a list of class dates and you can pick one.

There are currently 3rd and 4th quarter FY08 and FY09 class seats available for 35F, Intelligence Analyst.

The date of last PCS also plays into when you can go to your class. You can not get scheduled for a class before the 12 month point of last PCS date.

What I meant to say is your class date can not start before the end of the 12 month period.

So after finally coming to terms that I wont be able to get the mos I want to reclass into, 46r due to being deployed and school seats not available for fy09. ive decided to reclass into 35f.

when my unit finally gets back to the states jan 09 theres a 3 month stabilization period before anyone gets released from the unit? is this an army wide thing? and you need to have an interim security clearance to go to the school also, correct?

im a sgt with my a zone expiring in the beginning of june, theres no E-3 to E-4 only stated on the priority list so im assuming this job is open to sgts?

mucho gracias

From the ATRRS Site:

Course Security Clearance, C - INTRM TOP SECRET WITH INTRM ACCESS TO SENSITIVE COMPART Required

Prior to Soldier arrival, a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with TS/SCI eligibility is reflected within the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS); or

An open SSBI with Interim Secret eligibility is reflected in JPAS and a request has been submitted to the U.S. Army Central Personnel Security Clearance Facility (USACCF) for Interim TS/SCI eligibility, and

Soldier will hand-carry a copy of the electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) SF-86 and a copy of the USACCF Interim TS/SCI request to gaining S-2.

All you need is proof that the Top Secret has been initiated otherwise known as an interim TS. Oh and I am a 94E working as Battalion S-2 and I am also going to the 35F course in August. I have dealt with this very situation numerous times.

No need to be confused ...

You need to have an interim clearance to begin training but MUST have attained a full clearance (in this case a TS) prior to being awarded the MOS.

If your Career Counselo is confused, please send them to this community.

An interim comes back very quickly ... this is just a brief overview. The real down and dirty is when they begin actually talking with your references.
