I am reclassing in Jan. out of 13F and I am considering three options: MP, resettlement spec. and psyops, all of which are in the BEAR program.
My questions are
1.Since the first two are OSUT, at what point will I join the class?
2.I remember reading a MILPER message stating something about the Army forgiving 24 months upon reenlisting. SO if I have 24 months left when I reenlistment and reenlistment for 6 years, I will get the 6 year bonus..not the 4?

Answer #1: You'll be assinged a class date prior to signing the extension paperwork.

Answer #2: It's UP TO 24-months of previously obligated service that MAY be forgiven. This depends on the class graduation date and your corrent (contractual) ETS.

The months needed to extend to have 24-months after graduation (1 to 24) will normaly be forgiven; not just a fat 24-months.

Thanks for you help. Can you think of someone I can talk to regarding a new MOS that requires a Top Secret clearance?

35G (imagery spec) is another job Im considering and it requires a ts clearance. Right now I have a secret, but dont want to re-enlist for a new MOS only to discover something I did 5 years ago is a disqualifier.
