Can anyone give me information about 14J?. Exactly what do they do. Are there many females in this MOS? I really need feedback on this. Its the only MOS in the bear program that I'm slightly interested in. I have a school date next month but I havent signed anything yet. I just want to make sure I'm not getting in over my head. I hate my current job as 92G now. I need change. Someone please help me out?

First off it is ADA, which means there are very few duty stations you can go to. Fort.bliss, lewis, carson, bragg, hawaii, and korea. There are not alot of females in this mos, you will be in the field alot. As a 14J you will work on a radar system which can lead to a good civilian job, I just reclassed from ADA TO MP and have worked with 14J b/f, I had a chance to be a 14J and decided not too but it just depends on what you like to do.

14J is not a bad job. I am actually a 14E right now on recruiting duty. I myself have considered doing it. 14J also work in Patriot units in the CP or TOC. They work with all the networking links between Patriot, Airforce, AWACS, UAV's on the ground, Naval ship and more. They also operate radars for what is called Short Range Air Defense. That position they are usually asigned to infantry and combat units. I think it is a good job and you can be assigned to more than just limited ADA location. Check it out I think it would be a good job. It is really hi-tech. You can also apply for a TSC for some of the positions.

I am currently a 14J in Space Command (JTAGS). This is the way to go, if you do not want to go to Iraq. You have to come to Peterson AFB, CO for training and then to your follow-on assignment.d
