I have a few questions I am currently a 68P and I have 25Q as a secondary mos. Can I reclass back to my old mos for a bonus? If not, I want to use BEAR for either 35f or 35g with the intention of applying for Green to Gold Active Duty Option as soon as I get the bonus. Does anyone see any pitfalls with this plan? Also, I know the Active Duty Option is a nonscholarship, so is it noncompetitive then? If I get accepted to the school I can do it?
You probably wont be able to apply to Green to Gold immediately. You will owe the Army three months for every month of training you receive for your new MOS. Thats the whole point of the BEAR program; to fill critical skills. Why would the Army train you, give you a bonus, and then let you go.
You are able to request a waiver for your service obligation, but it is unlikely to have a huge portion waived.
The Active Duty Option is still competitive. Yeah, its not a scholarship and they are not paying for school, but they are paying you all pay and entitlements and allowing your two years in school to count towards retirement.

So, if I were to reclass to say 88M with a six week AIT, I would only owe the Army 18 weeks after AIT until I could go Green to Gold?
Also, since the IN/OUT calls favor me going from 68P back to 25Q, is there any way I can switch back to my secondary mos and then reenlist for a bonus?

See your Career Counselor about submitting a reclassification action ... this does happen. When the process is complete and your SMOS is switched to your PMOS, you can reenlist for your PMOS bonus; if one is available at the time.
