My husband is currently deployed. He is a SGT and is signed up to do the BEAR Program going into 35F. However, his DEROS (after stabilization) is January of 2009. His training doesn't start until March 2009. What happens to us for those two months in between? Also, what happens to me when he goes to his training? We have been stationed in Germany for 3 years now and I'm ready to go home! Is there anyway I can go back to the states at the same time as him? When will we find out where he will be stationed after his training in March? I really hope we don't have to wait until half way through his AIT like the first time! Also, (sorry to be such a pain) but what are the likely duty stations that he could get after completely his training? I would really like us to go somewhere in the North East Coast (NJ, MD, VA, D.C....)anything in that area. But if not, what are the most likely ones?

35F training is only 16 weeks, should not be a PCS move for the family. More than likely he will attend training in a TDY enroute status to his new duty location which, if all goes correct he should have about 6 months out from the training date.
Make sure he checks with his career counselor about the follow on, if he has not received follow on instructions within 90 days of reporting to school, the CC can send up a request for follow on.
As for you and your children, he may want to think about doing what I did when I was getting ready to leave Germany. I sent my family back to the states about 2 months prior to me leaving. They stayed with the in-laws until I got the POV and picked them up while I was on PCS leave. That will give him time to ship POV, clear the area without trying to juggle the family transport issue. Once he has orders and dependant travel is listed, he can ship you guys back anytime.
As far as where can he go, not sure on that, again the CC will have to be the go between for the follow on assignment.
