From what my career counseler says I am just waiting on the bonuses come back before they sign any contracts or extensions. I am about to become a 25P which I am not sure about but I am ready for a career change, I am currently a 25U(one of the best jobs in the army in my opinion) but I feel like I have reached the peak of what I can do in the job and now i am in a position that I am working on things that are not challenging or fun anymore, so it is time to try something new 25P is different at least and I will have to see if I am making a good CAREER choice, and if not I will have my Warrant packet ready to be put in by the next Signal warrant board. So just needed to write it all down somewhere
actually I do have a question on the email I got from the Career counselor it said my extension date would be from Sep 08 to Sep 10 for my two years after the school graduation, is that acurate? so that would make the school start date start around 30March give or take a few days because of bad math, the school is 26 weeks long
do I PCS there or do I go TDY come back and get my family, and when will I get my orders? I actually have alot of questions I guess but these are my most important ones
really sorry for the multiple questions but I also wanted to know I was asked for 4 duty assignment requests, I guess it is like a wish list, is that a very sure thing? do people ever get those requests?

Yes, your new ETS will be your graduation date (month), plus 2 years.

AR 614-200, Chapter 4, paragraph 4-5: b. Soldiers will be advised that family member travel and shipment of household goods to schools at Government expense is not authorized under Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) unless the Soldier is being assigned PCS to a school or installation to attend one of the following: (1) A course of 20 weeks or more.
You can go TDY to school and return to get your family, instead of moving them twice in a short amount of time. This would definitely reduce turbulence on your family; especially if you have school age children.

The assignments are not guaranteed. However, depending on your selection and what the Army has available, you can get one of these assignments.
If you select all TRADOC installations, chances are you're not likely to receive what you asked for.
Thanks for alol the advice my career coun. just gave me my school dates May thru Oct but I definitly agree on not moving my family twice, thanks for answering my questions as usual, I have been recomending this site to everyone in my unit that is looking to reenlist so they can get some great advice and info THANKS AGAIN

Send everyone here; not just those wanting to reenlist ... we need the ones that are looking to get out so we can better educate them.
