I am a 19k fresh out of AIT. I would like to do the Bear program ASAP. I am dual military and I need a new MOS that is more compatible with my wifes IE: engineer, supply

I have 4years Active duty Navy

I have been in the army for 5 months.

My rank is E4 non promotable

On a 3 year contract that started Oct 1st 2007

When can I do the Bear program?

If it's anything like the army, you would have to serve 17 months of your active duty contract before you can.

If your MOS is balanced or overstrength, and if the MOS you're looking at has a B Zone bonus (probably where you'll be at), then you can extend under the BEAR Program when you are within 24-months of your ETS.

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.
