I read milper message 6-359. Says that 97e is open for sgt(p) and ssg's. I have 11 years in right now. Am I able to reclass to 97E with 11 years in? I also only have 17 months left on my contract and I'm overseas right now. I am a ssg. I know you also have to pass a dlab with a certain score as well as a security clearance.

I'm pretty sure that since 97E is a critically short MOS, as most MI is, you are able to go through the BEAR Program to request reclassification to that MOS. Whenever I get to Riley I'm going to go through the BEAR Program to reclass to 96B.
