My nephew is currently at Fort Knox for his BCT/AIT. He finished BCT last week. He got his beret on Friday. He is scheduled to go to Fort Bliss after AIT. My question is, can his mos be changed by the Army after AIT? If he stays as 19K what could he end up doing with his assigned unit? Finally, is there any way to tell what unit he could end up with at Fort Bliss?
Thank you,
Dianna

He will end up doing whatever the Army needs him to do, if he gets slotted in his MOS then he will be doing his MOS...also if he received an enlistment bonus for his MOS, he MUST work in his MOS, so they cant just put him in the admin office if he got a bonus.

As far as I know Bliss has a replacement BN, so he should know where he will be assigned once he gets there.

Lead by Example!!!

I also think that the only way the army would change his MOS would be if he fails the class and is forced to reclass to the needs of the army
