Hi guys, I just have a quick question. Here is my situation. A few weeks ago I reserved a MOS 12C, the Bridge Crew member. After reading more about it I got really excited and pumped to be a part of the engineers. When I went down to MEPS everything went smoothly until I got to the counselors. When we were going over my paper work he noticed that my drivers license expired two weeks prior to my AIT completion date. With the 12C MOS I needed my license to be up to date the whole way through. So, sadly I had to change my MOS to get through MEPS. I did and now I am a 25U. I'm OK with this MOS but I really want that 12C, and the unit is closer and more convenient for me where the 12C slot is. So my question is, if i can get my drivers license extended could i change my MOS back before anything else happens. I have swore in and have signed my contract but I heard people can still change. So can I change my MOS before I get to far into my new 25U unit? All I have done is swear in so far. If you have any addition questions so you can answer this more accurately please don't hesitate to ask.
... i am 25 Series... and i really detest it. my recruiters talked it up like it was something crazy amazing... and the bonus was ok... but as far as the job that was right for me, i should have stuck with what i originally wanted...
Why couldn't you have not signed a contract, taken care of your license and then went back to MEPS and got the job you wanted? I am also surprised that no one noticed that your license was set to expire before your training was over.
I guess my other question is was the 25U school shorter than the 12B school?
