I AM AN 88M & CURRENTLY DEPLOYED TO IRAQ. I AM UNSURE WHAT AMOUNT OF BONUS I QUALIFY FOR ACCORDING TO THE NEW TIERED BONUS STRUCTURE FOR REENLISTMENT. I DO NOT HAVE AN SQI OF "P" BUT I AM A SPC IN MY INITIAL TERM OF SERVICE. MY INITIAL ETS DATE WAS 20DEC09, BUT DUE TO SL MY ETS CHANGED TO 20FEB10. DOES THIS MEAN THAT I QUALIFY FOR THE SL1-TIER 5 FOR 88M OR NOT IF I REENLIST ON OR AFTER 20OCT09? THANK YOU!

MILPER Msg 09-222 has an effective date of 20 Oct 2009. Until then MILPER Msg. 09-078 is used. Under Msg. 09-222, deployed you will receive the Tier-1 SRB according to the deployed paragraph.
