im currently a SPC(P),13b with 9.5 years active service. basd is 2 june 1998, ets is 29 jan 2010. i heard there is 24 month to reup now. im consindering reclass into mos 68t or 68r. can I still receive a bonus for this mos reclass. also as a sgt. additionally im do to deploy after mar08. what do you recommend what options should i follow. i know as a 13b i could get a lot of money. but time to move on and think about retirement options.

As a SPC(P) with nearly 10 years of AFS, your options are quite limited.

You'll have to decide what is most important to YOU:

As a career Soldier (with mid-career option for being under 10 years AFS), you can request an exception to policy for Option 3, Army Training Reenlistment Option.

Your MOS is currently balanced and may be able to request a Priority MOS from a list your Career Counselor can provide. Although the MOSs you listed are understrength at SPC, it's unlikely you'll get a school seat prior to deployment.

You can't reclass and receive a bonus ... it'll be one or the other for you.
