As long as you reenlist BEFORE your 14 year mark and are eligible for a bonus, you will receive the bonus payable to your 16 year mark. If your window opens AFTER the 14 year mark then you are not eligible for a bonus. Hope this helps

Remember your window for reenlistment is 2 years from your ETS. Based on what your saying your window opens in about 8 months, and you will have about 10 months to make a decision before you hit the 14 year mark. Remember that it only goes to the 16 year mark, so you Additional Obligated Service will be between 24-34 months depending when you reenlist. The AOS determines how much you will receive.

Shouldn't he have about 10 months AOS, SSG Black? His current ETS takes him to 15 years, 2 months.

Is there anything you could send me so i could show my retation NCO because the only thing he tells me is that because my ets takes me to 15years and 2 months then i dont qualify.

last question i taught that i did not have to wait to the 2 year window because of the messages that i have read that gives bonus if you re-up now no matter what MOS

See your Career Counselor and NOT a Reenlistment NCO. You're getting incorrect information.

AR 601-280, Chapter 5, paragraph 5-6:

g. ZONE C eligibility—To be eligible for a Zone C SRB, besides meeting the qualifications of b above, a Soldier must—
(1) (POL MSG 08-01) Have completed at least 10 but not more than 14 years of active duty service on the date of reenlistment.
(2) Reenlist in the Active Army for at least 3 years.
(3) Have a total of at least 14 years of active service when the term of reenlistment is added to existing service.
(4) Have not previously received a Zone C SRB.
Note. A SRB will not be paid for any active Federal service beyond 16 years.

If you are deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan or Kuwait or on assignment instructions, you can reenlist outsides of the normal 24-month reenlistment window.

You cannot reenlist until May 2009 ... when you are within you 24-month reenlistment window.

this is the answer that i got from my reenlistment NCO is this right?

SSG Rod
The reason that you can not get a c bonus is . you have 12yr 08 months 13 days of active federal service but you have contracted until 20110503. this is the math.

BASD 19951227
16 cut off for reenlistment bonus
_____________
20111226 16 yr cutt off for bonus
- 20110503 contracted MOS the army wont pay for your contracted time already only for additional obligated service as per MILPER 08-068.
--------------
01 24 additional obligated service. One month and to receive a bonus you have to have at least 12 months aditional obligated service.
I can not provide a bonus. If you have any questions please call, When do you want to reenlist, SSG Mercado.

Unless you are deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, or Kuwait, you need a MINIMUM of 12 months of additional obligated service. You have about 10 months so you are not qualified for a bonus.
