When is your ETS date, if it is withing '08 I think that you can get an Enhanced Re-enlistment Bonus of Up to 23,000 for 6 years. I was just recently promoted to E-5 on 02 July and re-enlisted for 6 years, and got an SRB of 1.5 (15000.00) for 6 years since my ETS wasn't till 2009. Well whatever you decide Good Luck and be safe. (I also have 9 years in already, if that counts for anything on the Re-up). Just what I think. Others may have more current and possibly more answers.

Im not 100% sure on any details but i know when i reenlisted a short while ago that they told me i had barely made a cutoff that was i believe the end of September '08 for my ETS date that i qualified for a different type of SRB, in which anyone within that window with an 11B MOS for E4 were automatically given an 11,000 SRB. I couldve swore he said it was some MILPER message that came out, thats the best i can offer. If you fall within that date i will dig up my reenlistment contract and get you a message number.
