how long does it take for the bonus to kick in now that finance is taking out of the loop

Most of the time after your retention NCO turns in paperwork you get your bonus in 7-10 business days. Longer than that something is wrong or they haven't turned in paperwork.

Minimum of 5 days (processing contract) and a maximum of 30 days (if there are issues).

Everyone including myself got it either less then a week or a little after a week. I guess it depends what day of the week they send in the paperwork. Like most places... it might be a few extra days if you reenlist close to the weekend.

I just reenlisted in the National Guard 30 May. My original ETS date was today (9 June). I am set to leave for a deployment 5 July, and was hoping to receive this reenlistment bonus before I leave. I notice some desparity in the amount of time it takes, I was hoping there was a way I can check with DFAS to grab a better idea when I should receive this bonus. Anybody know of any way I can get more info??

The above discussions were centered aroud the active Army time periods ... you may have to contact your local offices for a better time-frame for your bonus.

Is there a way for me to check the status of my bonus it's only been 11 days and I called my CC but I just got a funny feeling?

ok so i just re-enlisted on october 20th 2008 on my last day of my initial contract and i was wandering how long do i have to wait for my bonus to kick in or when will i receive it. my paper work was done on that very same day i beleive and my admin nco says it was turned in so how its nov 7th andim stillwaiting for it. i was told only 3 weeks but im sure 3 weeks has already came up so can someone help me track down this or help me somehow cause im kinda worried about this. im in the national guard in MN and again its a re-enlistment bonus.

I think it depends on how well the army likes you. I re-enlisted on a Friday and received my money three days later on Monday.

wow really thast so lucky of you and im so unlucky. i mean i went over seas for them and got stop loss for them why wopuldnt the army like me thast so wrong. i was active for crying out loud and joined the guard for them too its so unfair. to b on top of that i hold 3 MOS what more would they want me to do i am as patriotic as ever

I am a Specialist 92A and just completed my 3rd year. I reupped on 1/13/09. My ETS date was 1/26/09. I'm still waiting for the other half of my original bonus and my new bonus. Will I get them together? Do I have to remind someone that my original bonus is due? How long should this all take?

When you say "original bonus" are you referring to your ENLISTMENT bonus? If so, bring your contract to finance so they can input it in their system.

Also, for your reenlistment bonus, you should have received that by now. PM me your SSN and I'll check the status.

Your original ETS was 2009? If this is the case, you may have already fell out of the finance system because your ETS orders may have been submitted to finance.
