My direct selection OCS packet is at HRC, pending branch assignment and class date to commence in late 2008. I will DEROS Aug 2008, so I am currently in my window to reenlist and would like a deployment reenlistment bonus since I will be in Afghan next month. Will I still be eligible to reenlist for that bonus (my MOS is 15P E4) along with other options available, considering my OCS status? What AR can I reference in case I am challenged by my possibilities?

I believe it is all HINGENT on IF you have been accepted/selected officially or not. Once you have been officially accepted, given a class date and the whole 9 yrds...then its late to cash in, as your future time in the military is set to be an OFFICER...not as an enlisted soldier, which you would be getting the SRB bonus for. (regs and citations are given on both threads) SOUNDS LIKE...you need to hurry up and RE-UP before that MILPER MESSAGE comes out w/ your name on it. Then after you get your BONUS and your OCS selection...thats DOUBLE celebration!! Hope it works out that way!!
