I was told that I was entitled to a bonus under zone c, then they said that I was not because of something to do with how they figure out the time. I have read AR 601-280 chapter 5 and do not see anything where I am not qualified. Here is my info: E-5(P); BASD 19931206; PEBD 19911205; BESD 19910813; ETS 20090419; MOS 63B20. I am prior service and recieved a bonus under the BSSRB, but not sure if that is one reason.

Are you currently deployed?

If not, you do not qualify for a C Zone bonus.

You would only have 7 months additional obligated service (AOS) - this is the time between your current ETS and your 16 year mark (which is the limit a C Zone is paid). You are required to have at least 12 months AOS.

If you were deployed, you could get paid with 1 month AOS.

I am not deployed yet, but am scheduled to deploy sometime around the end of summer. Our commander has not put out the exact date yet

If you deploy with under 14 years active service, you will still be eligible for a C Zone bonus. Anything over 14 years you won't qualify.

would I be authorized any kind of bonus while deployed? If I get promoted before I deploy does that affect anything?

If you are over 14 years active federal service, you do not qualify for a bonus.
