I've been to ArmyReenlistment.com and have read through the MilPer messages, and I am still somewhat confused. Every time I try to figure this out, I get a different number, and my CC doesn't really want to crunch numbers for me until my 24 September window is much closer. I'm already going to sign on the dotted line, I'd just like to have an idea of what I can expect to see for SRB.

The latest bonus message (MILPER Message 08-068) has five bonus tables:

Table 1 = SOLDIERS WITH A CONTRACTUAL ETS PRIOR TO 1 OCTOBER 2008 AND POSSESSING A CRITICAL SKILL AND RANK WITH A “Y” LISTED IN PARAGRPH 6 (CRITICAL SKILL MOS)
Table 2 = SOLDIERS POSSESSING A CRITICAL SKILL AND RANK WITH A “Y” LISTED IN PARAGRAPH 6
Table 3 = SOLDIERS POSSESSING A SPECIAL CRITICAL SKILL AND RANK WITH A “Y” LISTED IN PARAGRAPH 8
Table 4 = DIERS REGARDLESS OF ETS SERVING ON ACTIVE DUTY IN AN MOS AND DESIGNATED DEPLOYED LOCATION
Table 5 = SOLDIERS WHO POSSESS THE CRITICAL SKILL WITH SQI/ASI/LANG AND REENLIST FOR THE LOCATIONS LISTED IN PARAGRAPH 12

The bonus amounts are based off additional obligated service (AOS). You can calculate your AOS by subtracting your current ETS from your new ETS as extended/reenlisted.
EXAMPLE: If you reenlist right as your 24-month reenlistment window opens and you reenlist for 6 years, your AOS will be 48 months.

Once you figure your AOS, your go to the appropriate table and select your rank and AOS ... that's your bonus.
