Wow, this is a pretty scattered post.
When did your husband reenlist? (You said recently, but you mentioned "after 3 years ...")
So, your husband probably receive a BSSRB (Broken Service Selective Reenlistment Bonus) when re-renter service in 2005. If he had between 6 and 10 years active service at that point, he would have used his B Zone SRB entitlement. You can only receive each zone once.
If your husband is entitled to a C Zone SRB (in a few months when he goes over 10 years), than he can get that.
Now, if your husband recently reenlisted and was told he would be getting a B Zone bonus (and it is in his contract; first page and last page), then your husband does have an option.
He can actually request that the years over service be reduced from six to four or less, depending the option selected and his desires. Again, this is ONLY if the SRB (not amount) was put in the contract.
