Im trying to find out if there are any bonuses for 42a20 right now.

my ets is 20110517
basd is 20040504
im an e-5 and looking to add two years to my contract making it six years. i just reenlisted to change jobs but i need to add two years to allow me to apply for green to gold active duty in a year and still have 4 years remaining. any help is appreciated.

my base pay is 2073 a month if thats needed.

The only bonus I know that we can get is like a 2k kicker or something but your ETS can't be any later than Sept 08. Too bad I re-upped because I would've fell in that bracket but oh well, on to Cuba. Here's a dumb question, what's it like at Polk?

There was a bonus for 42A that ended yesterday. It was around for about two months.

You cannot get a bonus for your MOS if you have been accepted to a program that leads to a commission.

Hey paintme where are you at polk? I just left there Nov of 06 I was only there for a year before I got orders to Italy. I used to work at the hospital as a 42A as well

i was assigned to 4/10 with 2-30 inf but i was 11b there not 42a. im in school right now to reclass.

When going green to gold active.....
Do you keep your health insurance benefits? {ie can my wife and i still go to a military hospital?}
do you keep bah and what is it based off of? im guessing the base nearest the school your attending? Or is it the last base you were assigned to.

Green-to-Gold Active Program is simply a PCS to the university. You are still on "active" duty, just going to college full-time. You're receiving your full pay, benefits and entitlements (as will your family).

You will receive BAH for the location you are at, not the closest base.
