MILPER Message 09-222, what the heck is this new tiered bonus program. try downloading it but it only comes up with garbage. My retention in Iraq will not tell me what the bonuses will be upcoming.
Same here. All my paper work from AIT and what not was sent up the first of october, kind of wondering myself. Is there a number or website where we can go and check? My unit hasn't been much help except for filing all the paper work. I'm really needing this money right now.
Still nothing here, but I am guessing that a lot of people were waiting for the 1st to reenlist so they are probably swamped. As much as I would really love to have the money and we could definitely use it, I know we are lucky to be getting it at all. Especially since it looks like under the tiered system my husband's job doesn't receive a bonus at all anymore.
i re-enlisted on 1st as well and have not recieved anything where is the reup guy on here ive seen in other threads where we could pm him ssn and he check on it for us
Talk about us but cant Talk without us

The fact that you are all stressing over not having your bonus money yet is kinda sad. It takes time and with a lot of people reenlisting it isn't going to happen over night, or for that matter it might not be til the end of the Month.
If you are so low on money you are relying on this bonus you did something way wrong in your immediate expenses. I know I was there when I got out of AIT and was waiting on my bonus. I would just double check to make sure paperwork wasn't "lost" because I have seen that happen a bunch on reenlistment bonuses.

Most of the time (at least in my experience) you have to wait one full pay period to get your bonus. For example, if you reenlist on the 1st you should recieve your bonus on the 1st of the following month. I've never heard of anyone getting bonus money on the 15th. I'm waiting on my bonus too BTW. Also, kind of off topic, the fact that some of you are stressing over your bonus is not "kinda sad". You signed the dotted line and agreed to serve for a few more years, and in return the Army agreed to give you a sum of money for reenlisting; Here you are, still in the Army, where's the money Uncle Sam??? Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed when you owe the Army money, they will take it with the quickness, but when they owe the Soldier, you're gonna have to wait a full pay period everytime. Yes, it's good to reenlist for honor, and country, etc (as I'm sure some folks do), but none of that will help you when the rent is due, in the words of Lil Wayne "I gotta get back to the money".
I guess I'm still idealistic about the army. It's a job, as long as I know the paperwork is in and I'm going to get it one way or another I'm fine. I have money for rent and always will since I get paid on the 1st and 15th the bonus is just that something extra not something to keep me going.

We haven't gotten ours yet either. BTW we don't really NEED the money, but my husband is about to deploy and we would like to be able to go out and buy some furniture and stuff before he leaves. I said in a previous post that I feel lucky that we are getting the money at all. So before you say "you all" maybe you should actually read the posts or realize that you do not know any of these people and what their situations are. To assume that they are all broke and need the money just to survive and that is the only reason they are waiting on it is ridiculous. Even if my husband was not deploying I would be watching and waiting just to make sure we get it. Also, my husband's career counselor told us if we had not received the money in 2 weeks (which is tomorrow) to come back in and let him know so he could follow up on it. He told us that most people have it in a week, but to give them 2 just in case. So obviously he didn't expect it to take this long either. I think it is just because of the new fiscal year and more people reenlisting and the budget hadn't even been approved yet and stuff, but you better believe that we will check with the career counselor to make sure.
I think the issue of fanancial responsibility is for another post. For whatever reason these Soldiers are "stressing" about not having gotten the bonus money yet, in my opinion, is a matter of "quid pro quo" i.e. 4 more years of service for $5,500. I'm not saying that every Soldier reenlist soley for a bonus, however, no matter the reason for reenlisting, if a Soldier decides to re-up and are entitled to a bonus, the Army should make it an order of buisness to pay that Soldier in a timely fashion. Granted that's in a perfect world, but for the sake of the post, the matter of who's broke and really needs the money, isn't that important; "A hurt dog will holler" ~ (origin unknown), just some food for thought.
