Hi I reenlisted last week and the new MILPER SRB bonus message came out 3 days after. I spoke to an old retention NCO and he stated that he helped out soldiers in the past with exception to policies. Is this possible in today's time? It's pretty harsh luck, have first baby on the way this August too lol. SGT C Zone 92A 9,000$ could get a lot of diapers and things here in korea.

Although I have never heard of this happening, but why would the Army pay you after you've already committed without a bonus?

I know it sounds crazy but you know many things are possible in the Army. It took me a while to learn that one lol. Exceptions to policy are pretty darn powerful. I'm just waiting until Monday to see if the idea is fable or not. I hope its a go. thanks for the quick reply.

P.S on the ArmyReenlistment reply. Justice is justice and sometimes only those around the situation may see it as such. I have a baby on the way and financial difficulties. I'm a very strong NCO and warrior (thank God). I missed this bonus by a few. It would be poetic justice for me to get this bonus. My Command would definitely vouch for it... hope its possible. If not, oh well, but that's why the Army would pay after committing.
Thanks for constant review of posts.

I see your situation all the time ... and I feel for it. It leaves a very sour taste in the mouth of the Soldier's this happens to; and the Career Counselor too.

If you speak with a Career Counselor and they are willing to submit an Exception to Policy, keep us up-to-date on your situation. I'd be curious to know how far this makes it. Best of luck!
