Someone in our station said you don't wear the U.S. Insignia and Branch Insignia when you are wearing a bow tie with your blues at a formal occasion. We have looked over 670-1 over and over and can not find anything that supports that statment. Has anyone seen that anywhere in the regs??????????????

We wanted to double check just incase by some strange chance this guy was right but we still havnt found anything to support what he said.

I remember this from all those ATC's while in USAREC. I think that he/she may be confused with not wearing the Distinctive unit insignia (DUI) on the Dress Blues. You will still wear the Branch and US insignia.
