What is the Army's current policy with tattoos? I have a half sleeve which i've had since early 2010 and then in 2011 I got one on my calf.

Roger Chief, I saw it. So basically all i have to do is walk up to my leadership and tell them i have tattoos i want to report or log so I can get some kind of paper proof? Like draft up a memo and have my CO sign it?

You can actually go to your medical provider and have them document your current tattoos and their placement on your body. Add this to your medical records, and keep a copy (if you want) and you should be good.

Just remember the things posted in the Army times article were the original proposed changes. Their is no way of knowing what actually made the final cut until the new 670-1 is published.

I have plenty of tattoos and so does my cousin who is a US army scout. I feel like the military is getting a bit more lenient about them since so many people have them nowadays.
