I am going to be reporting for the first time next month and my orders say I was assigned to the 90th RRC with a duty in Culpepper, VA with Det 1 3rd BN. Which patch do I wear? The 90th RRC or the unit in Culpepper? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sir, just keep your patch you currently have on your uniform and they will issue a new one at your unit.

Honestly that's what I would do sir. In my experience the Army tends to change orders at the last second, so you could end up getting a patch (which is good initiative by the way) and then just ditching it. The unit is responsible for providing you with a PT belt, unit patch, and unit insignia for your class As. You seem like you have some odd unit (are you reserve or something?) so trying to figure out what patch to wear would not be my forte'. No one is going to complain if you show up without the unit patch - they'll hook you up - and if they don't they are the ones in the wrong.

Yeah I'm in a Reserve unit. Your logic makes sense, so I think I'll go with it. Thanks again.

Anytime sir. Alternatively if you were sure you wanted the patch you could always call ahead and ask what patch they wear and find it online.

This seems to be the patch you're looking for:

I'm currently working and my workplace has blocked that site because of "weapons". I hate it when it does this. But I think I know what it looks like. I tried looking it up earlier. Thanks for all your help.

Yes. That's the one. We'll see what happens. Ive been trying to find contact info but all I have is an address. I guess I'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way and mail them a letter.

This is the only reserve center I could find in culpepper VA sir. Yahoo local lists the address as you see it below. On goarmy.com the address is listed as 1821 industry drive, culpepper, VA Hopefully that helps.

If they are the same unit, chances are that they have phone numbers. After all, that is an 800 number.
