The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) has established a Veterans Records Website to help military members and veterans access their DD-214 online. This may be particularly helpful when a service member or veteran needs a copy of his DD-214 for employment purposes.
NPRC is also working to make it easier overall for veterans with computers and Internet access to obtain copies of all documents from their military files. Military members and next of kin of deceased military members may now use this new online system to make document requests. The Standard Form 180, which is used by individuals other than veterans and next of kin to request military records documents, can be downloaded from this site. These online process improvement steps have significantly reduced time delays in getting key documents delivered to those who are eligible to receive them.
