Too easy.. M-16 = FM 3-22-9, Chapter 4. M1200 or M500, really easy off the book stuff, just teach 'em fundamentals and holding. The Marksmanship for Shotgun is ezmode. Just tell them to aim, point & shoot. Go through re-loading drills & steady aiming. Shotgun qual is 25 meter target (If you miss, you suck @ life).
|Standing, 2 shots fired, off hand| |kneeling, 2 shots fired, off hand| |crouched, 2 shots fired, underarm assault| |standing, 2, strong side, barricade supported| |standing, 2, barricade supported|
A total of 5 positions for the qualification. They will have to load four rounds, for each two position drills. Consult the FM.
When you teach M-16 PMI, focus intently on the kneeling position, get soldiers to familiarize themselves with their comfortability and positioning. You CAN use your back foot to lean your weight against. This provides maximum steady support. Kneeling position is killing soldiers on the range, also make sure that they're kevlars are tightly fitted, loose kevlars are causing soldiers to get bolo when in the prone. I mean TIGHT!
^0^ Out.
