You know, where ya take a middle pole out of an OE-254 set, and put it BETWEEN the antenna whips on your hmmv, and you get a 30 ft tall antenna on the back of your HMMV. Im just a male nurse now, and hell i was a pacrat/s-1 lackey back then, but deployed back in 03 from a pretty good unit, in 3rd ID (ft stewart).
Yea yea.......so is that super whip still doing it's thing?

I love how everybody hates signal until they are deployed and want to call home or get internet service. Then it seems we are your best friends. But thats beside the point. Yes, there are some idiot signal soldiers. Fort Gordon is full of them. There are also idiots in every branch of service, its just a fact of life. In theatre, every MOS needs every other MOS in order to do thier jobs. OK, done venting...thanks

unsafe??? never........it was on there pretty tight, i think...LOL....the 3 piece, made it there in 1 piece...untill we reached BIAP, then commo wanted all its parts back of course, and rightfully so.
BuiltToLast....hate Signal? never. Whomever feels that way, your right...hasn't deployed. You must feel like Rodney Dangerfield. I've got respect for commo/signal......

I don't know exactly how bad I am actually trying to get out of the Signal Corps...yeah so I'm a FOX, and I thought it was a Bravo, rushed thru MEPS, I think the liasons there are told to funnel high ASVAB scores directly into Signal. I have met some of the smartest dumb people on earth in Signal. My Unit is an ESB, we roll out whether it be field or other. I am seeing that Signal is alot like Airforce and other Army support branches....cutthroat. Little comraderie, wining, butthurtness, snitch-assnesss, etc. It boils down to this: if you are in a combat situation "outside of Signal Duties" and you need something done, I would rather have a grunt that would move out and carry out an order rather than a Signaleer that would ask why...and it was done like this in my last Unit, "I can't stand for three minutes it violates my profile". Ehh, maybe I am just disgruntled.....or not.
The backbone of the Army....has always been the E-4 Corps.
