Is 3rd standing up a signal support batallion firstly?

Second: I am aware its officially 3rd Group Airborne, however I have a buddy who will be returning to jump status and joining a support unit in the 3rd. He just came up on orders, my question is does this new unit/ or any attachments slot non airborne soldiers?

I'm assuming you're asking about 3rd Special Forces Group at Bragg. Legs are assigned throughout the unit.

I'm not sure about a signal support unit but they do have a Group Support Battalion (GSB).

I'm not sure, but I dont think so. Have you thought about the 75th Ranger Rgt.? Great unit for a young (i'm assuming you're young) 11B!

To each his own. I personally believe that the Ranger Rgt provides more opportunities than the SF groups. Especially with the standing up of the RRC.

3rd SF Group is what I am asking about. I want to call my branch manager to see if I could work it before I reenlist this year. I posted here because my buddy came on orders the very day his window opened "strange". I would only go to Bragg to work with group, I've worked along side them down range JSOTF-HOA, and I like how they do business...in the rear especially "that doesn't sound right" err...in Garrison. I'm a no nonsense soldier, and they train hard, get it done, and go home...without the extra cheese. If it's a possibility then I'm on doggonit.

no legs in 3rd. everyone's airborne, right down to the cooks and rmo staff. try to get assigned to 3rd, with airborne school tdy enroute. that would be your best option.

Fine...I'll ask, too. Where did you get the idea that he is a specialist?
