In the Ineligibility portion of the Green to Gold (active duty option) it states that a divorced Soldier would be able to get a dependency waiver if they placed custody of their children to other persons. How would this work as far as DEERS/Tricare goes? Would those children not be covered by the military (as far as healthcare or BAH) since they would not be considered to be dependents of the Soldier?
