Now that the maximum age for initial enlistments has changed to 42 has the maximum age to become a commissioned officer also changed? Last I heard it was 42 with no exceptions

I just got back from a weekend of working on my direct commission packet and attending a field board. I'm currently 38. I was told by the officer accession NCOs that you no longer needed an age waiver under 42. They would still consider an age waiver for 42 & over.

The main criteria that they seemed to indicate was if you could complete 20 years before being required to retire. So if you've got 10 years of service already in, then conceiveably you could request an age waiver if you were under 50. I don't know for sure but check with an officer accession NCO. They'll know.
