Picture of Okla Reservist

I am expecting to be commissioned by fall of this year. I'm currently an E-5 serving in an OC/T unit (1st Army). So basically all we do is training of other units.

My question is - is it better as an officer to stay in this type of unit or transfer a reserve unit (if available) that is in my branch?

I have a unit vacancy at my unit that is branch non-specific so I have been told that I can have transportation - my branch of choice. If that is the case - will it be better (experience and career advancement) to seek a transfer to a reserve trans unit or is it advantageous to be in an OC/T unit where I have many opportunities for training client units in many tasks?

I know, quite a lot there to go over but I'd appreciate any input I can get.

Thanks!
