I have two questions.
1# I have one soldier, who has been in for 8 years, wants to go Green to Gold but they are on a permanent walking profile. Is there a waiver for either the Non-Scholarship or the Active Duty option?

2# Next, is there a waiver for the number of years, if the soldier member has already completed 8 years of active duty service for the Non-Scholarship program or the Active Duty option?

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need a waiver for either of those. Go to this website for more information.

If I am not mistaken, you have to be able to take the APFT with no alternate events to be eligble for this program. I am gathering my packet now to submit and it says APFT with no alternate events in the checklist.

Sorry, sounds like the Soldier may be screwed if on permanent profile.

Well, actually I have been talking to a PMS Instructor and he says that if you are active duty and takingthe active duty options a waiver can be writen. So all is not lost. They have been corresponding to the PMS Instructors and a few of the requirements has changed to take more people.

Thanks anyway
