My fiance is currently in basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Graduating either the last week of April or early May. I have two questions.
1. His orders says he reports to AIT on May 14th, does that mean he can come home for awhile and then we take him there? He will be doing AIT at an Air Force Base for 35N, it's a three and half hour drive from our area. All in Texas.
2. We are planning on getting married once he gets through with Basic, does this mean I can live with him at AIT. His AIT is 27 weeks and some days.

New to all this stuff, and have no clue what I'm in for. Would love some information and help.

Thanks!

More than likely NO, He will not have leave between basic and AIT he will be on holdunder status at his AIT place...if you get married then technicall you "could" live with him, since his AIT is more than 20 weeks BUT his Commander has to approve it, it is not a guaranteed thing or his right, its a privilige and has to earn it...so if the CO says NO, its NO.

His main concern is to learn his MOS during AIT and the less he has to worry about the better, so I would recommend not moving there with him that way he has no distractions during his training, you will have lots of time to be with him later.

Lead by Example!!!
