Exactly WHERE in DEERS did it say that a spouse should just 'bend over and take it?' Grrrr.

After the CO posted leave dates before deployment and promised she wouldn't change them, she went and changed them. My husband has to be back on base on FRIDAY instead of SUNDAY. Meanwhile, I had to buy tickets so he could fill out leave paperwork. So now I'm out a plane ticket (husband is a geo-bach) and a nice vacation.

Her excuse? She wants ppl back ready to go on Monday and has some time to 'fix' anything that happens during leave. Yeah, all the other single 19 year old PVTs I can understand, but my husband, a ripe 33 year old E3 is being punished.

A year deployment without any midtour leave is killer.

Yup, that's the Army for ya! This happens all the time.

FROM A GERMAN GENERAL OFFICER, WW II ERA:

"THE REASON THAT THE AMERICAN ARMY DOES SO WELL IN WARTIME IS THAT WAR IS CHAOS, AND THE AMERICAN ARMY PRACTICES CHAOS ON A DAILY BASIS."

I PMed you
