Soldiers are too sensitive nowadays. You came to this community to get advice/guidance. Seems if you don't get the support you want, you get defensive.

Are you tryng to get out of a PCS because you have kids (nieces/nephews until you make it official)?

I don't care if a Soldier gets out because of kids or not. The military is not for everybody and if I see a Soldier trying to get out of orders because of their kids, I feel that it's time for that Soldier to go. No hard feelings. For those with families, they are more important than the military; they have to be or there may be no family to come home to after their career ends.

an no we are not trying to bypass the system any way. we made an arrangment when the mother's issues began to affect the children and he is constantly traveling. there was no saving money we just never needed to have me listed as the legal guardian because there were no issues between the three of us. howver we did have an affidavit done so that i could have them enrolled in school etc.
By not making this official, getting legal guardianship, you
ARE bypassing the system and now you and the kids are caught up in a possible PCS move.
May I ask where you are currently stationed?
