WOW!! My brain is overloaded. There are so many possibilities. There was another guy at AIT that wanted to go to Korea and wanted to swap with her, I don't know where all of that went. I am going to send her all of this information. She is going to have to do this herself. It is obvious that she will have to spend do her time. I am glad to be a third person looking in on all of this. And I am thankful there is nothing I can do about any of this except pass on what I find out here. I love reading everyones replies. This is wonderful. Thank You for all of your help and sincerity. Thank You for helping!!!

Thank You Army18!! All of this worry is worth it for our family. She enlisted to make the Army her career. I was born and raised in the AirForce and loved every miniute....I am very proud of my daughter in law and my son for making the commitment. I wish I could have been there when she went to the recruiter...that would have been interesting and I would have had specific questions. But, that is in the past and she will do great. She loves what she is doing and can't wait to reunite with my son.

This forum makes me feel better. I now know she has options, she just has to fight for what she needs and wants.

You're great!!

It worked....all of the info I got from this forum helped. I read everything that all of you posted and she was armed with just enough information when she went to JAG that she got what she wanted. My daugher in law is stationed state side at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Thank you for everything. Her Sgt. helped her with everything........WOW!!!

Congrats, but she could just as easily spend a year away from family by being stationed at Fort Stewart when she gets deployed.
