Geeting to all and here is my story.
I am a 1st term solider 42LF5. I extended once to go to Germany and now I am to ready to reenlist. My ETS date is April 8 2007 and my DEROS date for leaving Germany is March 8 2007. I just gave birth to my 2nd child while here in Germany and haven't taken a record PT test, I took a diganotic on Jan 18th on 2006 and became pregnant before taking the record. I have all my preganancy profiles and the 2 kids to prove it but I am being told I can't reenlist because I have to take a record PT test. My ETS date is after my six months time period that I have to take the PT test. I thought with a profile from the Dr. that I could get a wavier for the PT test or can my unit change my last PT test to a record for the purpose of reenlistment. I have a GT score of 104 and I want to reclass from also from 42L to 91X. What advice can you give to me. And if by any chance a regulation to help me out. Thanks in advance

Geda;

First off, congrats on the birth of your child. I know from experience what a blessing this is. Simply put, if you passed a record APFT with in 9 months of becoming pregnant, and are currently on profile for postpartum, you ARE eligible for reenlistment in this area. Ref: AR 601-280, Chapter 3-8.

When was your last record APFT?

When was your last child born?

As for 68X (changed from 91X 1 October), you'll have to ask your Career Counselor to specifically ask for this MOS. This will NOT be offered through the RETAIN system. It'll take a little work on their part, but it'll be worth it for you.

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.
