hello again just had another question first off let me give you my info, im currently deployed im an e-4 ets date of 28 dec 09, besd 28 dec 04 this will be my first term re enlistment mos is 31B. i am located at a small district center in afganistan so i haven't talked to retention nco or anything but my company checked and said for needs of the army i can get 5000 for 3yrs 6500 for 4 8000 for 5 and 9500 for 6. that is a little lower than i was expecting.im still re-uping but my question is could i get duty station or training thrown in with that same amount of bonus or is that even possible. or could i possibly haggle for more cash because thats my first priority.

Your first priority is money and your currently deployed.. Sorry but that seems a little sad to me, I just re-uped for no money and have no problem with that and I am state-side. It's tax free for you if your deployed and you still want more?? You get what the Army gives you, there is no "haggling" for more money simply because you want it. Or at least I don't think so, if you do let me know how you did it.

Anyway you should be able to re-enlist for station of choice and or a school, depends on what you are looking for though. My first re-enlistment came with a bonus and a school so I have seen it happen.

you can get duty station of choice (opt2) or army training (opt3), since your an initial term soldier, option 3 requires a minimum of 4 years reenlistment if i remember correctly. since your deployed you qualify for an SRB so you will be getting a bonus regardless.

It's about to get lower. Also, as a SGT or SSG 31B, there are no bonus for your MOS. (This is for future reference)

Depending on your redeployment date/DEROS, you can get either Option 3, Army Training Reenlistment Option or Options 4 or 5, Overseas and CONUS Station of Choice. (You can choose one option).

Note: Option 2, is Current Station Stabilization.
