I am currently deployed. I got a conditional release from the guard and enlisted active duty in SEP 07. I received 7 Mo TIS for my guard time, which made my BASD FEB 07. I have been in 17 Mo from BASD but I am being told I cannot reenlist until I am seventeen months out from SEP 07, and that my BASD does not matter. I just wanted another opinion.

In order for you to be eligible for a reenlistment bonus, you need to have at least 17 months continuous active service--continuous is the key word here. You do not HAVE to wait to reenlist if you are in your reenlistment window, but in order to receive a bonus, you need to wait until you have hit your 17 month mark.

Can anyone tell me how to get ahold of a career counselor to come and talk with me about re-enlistment. I am prior service and would like more info but from a career counselor not a regular recruiter
Career Counselors are ONLY for Soldiers already serving, not for applicants. They are assigned to battalions or above. You'll need to see your local recruiter.
