Situation:
I am a FISTER in the C zone with 9 years in.
Reup window opens Dec 08
I will PCS to Ft Stewart Aug 08.
2ID Civilian in charge of cutting orders will not cut my orders until I extend or reup out to the year 2015 to meet Life Cycle Unit requirements. I usually stay informed on reup to help my Soldiers, but I have slacked in the last 6 months or so. Did I miss something? It sounds a bit crazy to me. Don't get me wrong I am staying in as long as they will keep me, but I wanted to reup at Stewart so Family could be there.

What's a FISTER?

The C Zone is for Soldiers between 10 and 14 years ... you're in the B Zone (6 - 10 years).

Did you already receive a B Zone bonus? If so, the next bonus you can receive would be the C Zone bonus, but you must be in between 10 and 14 years.

Also, just guessing here, but are you a SFC? (Again) if so, you do not qualify for a bonus, unless you're deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan or Kuwait.

Roger got the bonus, again I just wanted to reup with family around, so they could be there for one. They missed the others due to deployments. I'll figure it out. Just thought I was missing some outlandish retention requirement for Life Cycle Units. Thanks for the heads up on C zone. I'll keep trying to get in touch with my branch and see what the special instructions say on my orders.

2015 seems very ridiculous ... the Army doesn't even offer 7 year reenlistments (You could reenlist for 6 and then extend for up to 11 months).

2015 would be equal to two life-cycles.
